The incident caused outrage amongst Liverpool fans, with over 200,000 supporters signing a petition to UEFA to retrospectively punish Ramos for injuring Salah.

Ramos further angered Liverpool fans by dismi sing the injury, claiming the incident was overhyped, after he appear to mock Salah on the pitch.
